I don't want to get in trouble, I'm not asking about downloading from GH so I won't mention the site. I just ran across it because (as I've mentioned many times here) I have a serious addiction for Japanese films. I found a great site with many new films I haven't seen before, nothing illegal, of course, just a great variety. I don't speak Japanese and the site is all Japanese, but Chrome and Google Translate always help me out. But in this case, I'm stumped. The site looks typical, a lot of videos posted by dates with their covers and descriptions, no screen caps though. There is a download link which opens in Depfile, but it requires you to be a premium member. I joined for $20 to be able to download. The videos download, but in .rar files. However, when you go to open them they ask for a password and nowhere can I find a password mentioned. I'm familiar with using .rar files and know how to look for passwords but I see none anywhere, either on the main page or the depfile page. Also, it seems like they might be in .iso files (which I know nothing about, other than what I read online just now), it mentions .iso in asking for a password. I also get this message in Unarchiver sometimes: "Could not extract the file "FHD01.iso" from the archive n195207185.rar": Failed to write to file." It did create an .iso file, the .rar file is 3.95, the .iso file is 2.59. I have no idea what all this means though.
The site looks legit, it has several updates per month going back to last August, and each update has about 30 vids, all from Japanese companies I'm familiar with, but cool titles I haven't see anywhere else other than on the company websites. The site looks normal, like I say, though there are no screen caps, but the one odd thing is that every file seems to be 3.7GB, no matter how long the video is. That seems suspicious. And problematic for me, since where I live the internet is extremely slow. 3.7GB takes 12 hours or so to download, so I can't just keep experimenting with files that might or might not work.
If anyone has any idea about how to extract these files, or what is going on here, I would love to get your advice. And again, I don't want to get in trouble with GH, I love GH but these videos I just can't find anywhere else.
