Why is this forum so quiet?

Sometimes it's quiet around the weekends, but during the week there's usually heavy activity on here. There's also other things keeping some of our attentions away from here.

....but a real discussion is always full of emotions and tempers - if not it is no discussion but a friendly, boring chat where everyone has the same opinion. Do you like that?

I think it is ok to have a heated discussion, but it should be civilised, and the really key point is that people recognise the possibility that they just might be wrong.

And on some things, like whether pubes should be shaved, it is just a matter of taste and opinion. There is no right or wrong.

The forum only appears to be quiet, there are still lots of regular visitors, but most of them just look at some porn, have a nice wank and go back to their bible study, election campaigning, or whatever, without leaving a comment.
Nothing wrong with that of course, everyone is welcome to have fun. But I do miss the days when there were lively debates here. I don't miss the vicious bitching that sometimes happened but we have learned our lesson now haven't we boys?
Learnt our lesson too well and it's made us docile. Or maybe supine.

The forum only appears to be quiet, there are still lots of regular visitors, but most of them just look at some porn, have a nice wank and go back to their bible study, election campaigning, or whatever, without leaving a comment.

But some members tend to go beyond civility and often venture into downright meanness and hatred...
