A Scan Question

So i wanted to put pictures of myself in an album on my profile page.
I have to scan them onto my computer, but somehow i'm not able to do so.
I have a Canon Pixma.
All i get is when i've scanned the picture is that the picture can't be opened in Windows Live Photo Gallery, anyone know what i'm doing wrong

Maybe your scan program uses a file format that Windows Live Photo Gallery gallery can't handle? Which extension/file type do the scanned images have? If in doubt, you can upload one of the files to mediafire and I can check it for you. Try to save your images in jpg/JPEG format, this is compatible with most applications. You can also try to download the free software "IrfanView" (use Google to find it). IrfanView can open most image files. Use it to convert the images to JPEG and try again.

Sorry guys my Canon was just in shock that i used the scan function for the first time:rofl::rofl::rofl:
