So first, TGIF!! OMG I'm not going to get up at all this weekend! NOT, was just a busy week at work and I'm glad it's over for the time.

So I'm sitting here doing some picture posting to GH and watching the History channel about aliens and UFO's when a commercial comes on from the ASPCA. Now I'm not anywhere close to being against the ASPCA, what people do to animals sometimes is absolutely cruel, and the animals deserves to be let out of that situation.

But here is what I got to thinking: I've seen so many ASPCA commercials but I have hardly seen ONE about saving homeless or abused children. Why? Because people don't want to know about the homeless and don't want to do anything about them. I think it really sucks that all the homeless camps are being torn down, and spikes being put up so people can't sleep in protected areas. There was a YouTube video that I found a while ago (tried to find it and couldn't to link it) that said that cities even construct benches in such odd ways as to prevent people from sleeping on them, let alone sit on them for long periods.

I think that if we cut out all the stupid shit that the government wants to pay for we could probably house every last homeless person in the country. I think this, in turn, would then help out the economy because that person would be in a better situation to get a job to eventually support themselves.

OK, just my little thing for the night, hope you guys don't mind, and hope that this doesn't go against the "no politics" discussions.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I worked in the animal charity business for many years, we had a great location near a really well to do neighborhood. We would always help the homeless with food and clothing donations. The homeless heard of us and starting coming to our thrift store for help. We were evicted from the location because it reminded the rich who drove by of things they didn't want to think about. We once had this young couple who come in and when they did they tied their dog to a pole out by the road by their grocery cart with their belongings in it, people got so upset seeing the dog by the homeless cart that they stopped and left big bags of dog food and money for the dog but nothing for the people.
