I was just wondering if its possible to be content and happy?

I have my moments of contentment and bliss, but I'm not sure i can ever be happy!!

i seem to always want more...Is that bad?

I strive for contentment and usually succeed. It's impossible to be exstatically happy all the time and if you expect to be you'll only be disappointed. Enjoy all the little things each day and enjoy all the time with people you spend, and never worry about tomorrow.

That's my secret anyway

I have a lot of dreams, and i achieved many of them, like going to meds school , have 3some... im happy .... but sometimes i feel so lonely...and it makes me feel sad..... I think what i really need in my life is a soulmate... a true friend...

in my eyes, happiness is such kind of light and shadow-thing. i wouldn't be able to appreciate being happy unless there are some moments where happiness hides behind a big mountain.

what works for me is seeing happiness in so many little things like
- waking up in the morning and staying in bed for another 10 minutes
- sitting on my window sill and watching the rain falling down
- seeing people who spent 50 years of their lives together still holding hands
...
thas is why i can count the days where i wasn't able to be happy for at least one moment with one hand.

virginia satir once said that the first step to achieve a goal, a dream or whatever it is you want to achieve is to give yourself the permission to do so.
allow yourself to be happy.

yes but only when I look at the small things...and realize they all add up to a larger happiness. YOUR Life is what you make it...geography, family, religion, etc DO NOT MATTER. It IS your life and if happiness is what you want? YOU NEED to make it happen for yourself and you can...if you REALLY WANT TOO!!* We all live in a big, BIG world and there's room for everyone. You just have to find the right place....(rant over! sorry - just wanted to say what was on my mind.)

(* - In case anyone thinks this is aimed at 'SUDA? It is! Dude - you WILL find yourself and happiness when you set yourself free and let your humanity shine without goegraphic boundaries or cultural restrictions. We are ALL citizens of the planet Earth - not a single country or culture or religion...It's 2009 and we have evolved! We all just need to embrace that thought and all that other BS will just fall away....

Happiness is not a word in my vocabulary - especially not the "moral" happiness, whereby people abuse and blame you if you do not conform to their spiritual philosophy. I chase different things and determine if I'm satisfied by other means, and I'm not.
