awww thats sad.. :( I would cry too if a friends family or relative have passed and they are sharing their stories with me..I bet you your friend is just in shock and won't really realize it until much later and then they will eventually get emotional like i have before... either that or they were not that close :S..

Usually I'm pretty tough!! I can hold it back.
The one I couldn't deal with and still hurts me so bad today, is when I had to put my dog down many years ago. That hurt worse than anything, and it was the right thing to do. But I still have trouble thinking about it and get all choked up.
With people it hasn't been that tough.
I guess that really shows what I care about in this world.

A friend of mine phoned me one day after his cat had died and he was totally like that! I can understand it.. Never knew him to cry before, it's odd that pets have that effect but they do! I was very young when I last had a cat and was very emotional when it disappeared without any trace. Put it down to being a kid but i doubt I'd be any different now.

I'm a soft bastard underneath :p

This may sound really oldfashioned but I think that men can't cry. In our family the funerals go the old pattern; we carry the coffin, shavel the grave up etc. But damn that it is hard not to cry while doing all that to a close relative... But ofcourse anyone can do as they like. It's good to get the emotions go sometimes I think:p

There is no right or wrong way ... Everyone deals with grief and loss in their own way.

I'm old now and grow old disgracefully :p I no longer care a damn what anyone thinks of me , I do what I need to do. All should be like that. I think if bottled up emotions were let out more we'd have less trouble. Takes years before you realise that and some never do !
