The Council Chamber of Namur (Belgium) has reserved the deliberations on the matter relating to homophobic statements by Bishop Leonard to 4juni.
The bishop had made comments about gay people and gay marriage in an interview with the magazine "Télémoustique" in April 2007.
The Council Chamber calls after the indictment Bishop Leonard itself to be accountable in court for his comments.
