I love movies and award shows but this year feels dull to me, was 2010 a dull year in the movie industry or is it just me. Last year i was up all night to watch the Oscars but i'm going to skip it this year

But I'm not gonna skip the Oscars this year even through I didn't watch the Golden Globes from beginning to end. It was quite boring.....

I only saw the opening monologue of the Golden Globes because of all the fuzz about Ricky Gervais and i can see why. He was utter garbage in my opinion. I get that jokes at the expense of celebrities is part of an award show but he was just insulting and not funny on the other hand Oscars has become a mayor snore fest Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin just weren't funny and i think this year with James Franco and Anne Hathaway as hosts it will be a big snore fest as well can't they ask Whoopi Goldberg or Billy Crystal or Robin Williams Or Ellen DeGeneres it's bad enough that the show feels like it will never end at least give us something to enjoy

I'm actually excited about Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosting the Oscars this year. They're not comedians, that's true, but their SNL-hosting gigs were great so I know they at least know how to handle a crowd.

And yes, the film year 2010 was kinda lame, but at least I finally found some good movies to root for.

The only thing this year i like about the awards is DVDscreeners i get the newest movies

That's the greatest thing about awards season every year

I think there were a handful of really great movies, a few genuine stinkers, and a whole lot of stuff that simply didn't deliver because of mild-moderate lameness. The newest Fockers exemplifies this.

Actually, I could care less...I'm not interested in seeing this years' show.
