Here's hoping and wishing well to everyone starting back to school in the next few weeks! I hope you all do awesome!

If I could challenge any of you this year, it would be this: what could you say or do to make a positive change in someone's life? What could you do to make a positve change in your life?

Food for thought, as the world goes through tumultuous change in the next year, particularly in the US what might speaking up play a part in change?

If I could make one change, it would be tolerance. As a gay community, and I've lived almost 39 years in this community, it would be tolerance. Older versus younger and younger versus older.

I wish everyone a happy first semester of 2010 and lay down the gauntlet for positive influence, to those you know, those you meet, and those you have yet to meet!

That's nice of you..however, I've been going to school for the summer term and get a couple of weeks off in the middle of September and then back to the grind again...Good luck and best wishes to you as well...

Interesting topic Duke. Because of my age school is for me not an issue. But you are never too old to learn. And, at least as important, elder people have the obligation to transfer their experience to the younger. The best way to do so is history lessons. History is extremely valuable. By learning from history you can avoid to make the same mistakes again. Unfortunately everyday practice proves that we seem not to learn from history. Intolerance has always leaded to misery. Interfering in other cultures without a proper knowledge of their ins and outs leads to misery. It is sad to see how intolerance deformed our society in The Netherlands since last elections. So my goal for school would be: pay more attention to history. Such as a message to the educators. Explain the youngsters how wars really developed (not only how many heroes died, but also how economics and evil people played their role). How people were discriminated because of the colour of their skin, having another religion or a different sexual orientation. How thin the margin is between good and bad. That a majority position is not by definition a good and proper position. Each individual has his own responsibility on that point. Never hide behind behaviour of others. The world has become small, they say. But how much do we really know about other people and other cultures? Let’s make a start and try to see things from various perspectives. Be tolerant.

I have had a looong vacation due to my scholarship was stuck (blame the regional governor!)
In my scholarship contract, I should finish my under graduate in 2years 8months. Because of that problem aforementioned, my schedule was messed up. And right now I have to prepare my final essay and submit it to be aproved in 3month!
Gee, I really need my fortune lady right now... *wandering around looking for some ideas while scratching and pulling my hair*
