Can work romances ever work out?

I have a crush on a work colleague. I'm not sure if its worth making a move though. He sits next to me so it could be awkward. It was his birthday last week so when the girls hugged him i jumped in too for a go and got a very nice feel. There's definitely always been some electricity between us but I wouldn't want to make a move unless I was 110% sure.

It's complicated by the fact there are two parties involved who i know like me. One is very hot but closeted, the other is very meh. He's very out and open about his feelings and gives me a ton of useless work to do just as an excuse to come round.

However In general am I right in thinking work hook ups are a bad idea?

Actually, yes it can. I spoke about my office romance that lasted five years with my boss in one of my earlier posts. It has a lot to do with trust and confidentiality as well as how you keep things in its place.

I definitely would say a lovely romance can always happen.

Without sounding philosophical but there is still happening TRUE LOVE sometimes and from what you share here, he definitely seems to have a deeper interest on you when you say he gives you even useless work for the sake of seeing you.

That sounds actually really sweet and I think it just depends a bit on how this all develops.

There seems to be at least already a little base and I agree with jw4833, this has absolutely to do with trust and of course you should part work from private things best possible so that your possible little romance has a chance to become more intense.

I wish the things will develop as you imagine and hopefully there will be a chance that you can exchange your feelings so that both of you know what's going on and whether the feelings of you 2 guys have the same meaning
