Gay teens are suddenly popping up in major roles all over television, with Glee’s popular pairing of Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) leading the way. How did gay teens go from marginalized outcasts and goofy sidekicks to some of the highest profile — and most beloved — characters on the likes of 90210, Pretty Little Liars, and Skins? And more importantly, how is this affecting real-life teens still facing the daily high-school realities of bullying, discrimination, and ignorance? Darren is not gay, but grew up in San Francisco and considers himself to be a proud friend of the gay community. He has said in interviews that he feels like he was raised by the gay community and considers it an honor to be part of that community.

Darren Criss' brother is in an indie band-- and of course that muddles things since straight boys in those also tend to make an effort to be more presentable, but any chance he might be gay if there's no hope of his younger brother? ^_^

Darren Criss is scorchingly hot. But he is also 150% Str8. Glee is an amazing show and I really admire Colfer. It may just be me, but I don't like the pairing of Colfer and Criss. Something about them together that just doesn't feel "right" to me.
