I moved this here from General.
So I've been having a problem with the computer I built. I will explain as much here as I can.

First let me link to the list of parts I have.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wdRjVc

A few months ago while playing GTA V my computer just turn off. No blue screen just black. I panicked. Like a year before I had bought a new case and case cooling setup (The Lian Li Case) just never got around to moving things over. So after this crash happened I took everything apart cleaned it and put it back together in this new case. I turned it on and ran some test. CPU load test fine, 1080p and 1440p Furmark (GPU Test) test all fine but the moment I click start on a 4K GPU test it crashes. It also crashes in GTA at both 4K and 1440p. I can play an older game like Faster Than Light no problem. I've checked and all my temps are normal. My CPU core temps don't get above like 30C at idle or web browsing. My GPU temp is deadlocked at like 52-53C at idle. Another thing to note is that when it turns off I can't just hit the power button on the case to turn it back on I have to toggle the power switch on the PSU a few times and then it turns on.

I've been thinking it might be the PSU or in this market terrifyingly the GPU. I think I'm gonna start by replacing the PSU cables. I have looked at a new PSU but the one I want is just not in stock or price gouged to hell and back. Also I think my PSU is still under warranty for like a few more months but like RMA'ing it if I don't know if it's broken or not.

I just don't have the money to go on a spending replacement spree.

Long I know but thanks for any help anyone can give.

Maybe you could go to a computer repair shop. They might have the equipment to test all of the parts. Call up Best Buy or a local repair shop. It might be cheaper in the long run and if your PSU is at fault and still under warranty, they might let you do the repair at that shop. When I've had a problem with my Mac, they were able to diagnose the problem quickly. Just a thought. Good luck.
