To pick videos from the net you can use Live Downloader. Also freeware.

I assume that the vid is an .avi? If so, open in QuickTime Player and 'save as'. That will make it .mov.

Even the realplayer internet add on will identify all downloadable videos and ask if u want to download pretty much anything from youtube to gaytube to xtube
