Depositfile or Oron?

I'm thinking of register for Depositfile. Do you think it's safe and won't get shut down? Between it and Oron, which one would be best?

I used to get FileServe and Filesonic each month, but once they were gone, I held off a month and downloaded as a free user to check them all out. I've heard many people complain about Oron, but didn't know why. As a free user, they're fast. So is Deposit Files. I decided to try Oron first as a premium user, and was disappointed that they have a 20000MB limit that if you go over you have to wait 3 days until you can download again. They do not have unlimited downloads like Filesonic and Fileserve did. Next month I will try Deposit files. I've been waiting to see what the various uploaders use. Right now they're all trying different ones, some I've never heard of, like Turbobit, which is VERY slow, Extabit, which is also slow. FileMonster, I think is banned on this forum, and File Post is ok. Media fire doesn't make you wait to download, and you can download one file right after another as a free user. You'll just have to see which one is best for you, but your two choices seem to be pretty good. Would be nice to hear what you think on whichever one you choose. Good luck.

im surprised that mediafire isnt used much because you can download multiple files at once and its fast

I can only talk as a free user but it turns out that Depositfile seems to have much better speed while Oron hardly fluctuates and it is always like a lottery whether you have fast or so slow speed that even a snail is faster. So I would advise Depositfile to you as well

I agree that everyone should take a break and see what happens. The one thing that is irritating is how everyone is jumping onto these newbie sites ... they are for the most part horrible and slow. I can wait and see what happens....how much porn can I watch!!!?

Yes. Take a break. Go outside. Clean the house. I've gotten a few house projects done in the past couple of weeks that I wouldn't have did otherwise.

That's because most of the uploaders are more interested in making a few bucks than in actually sharing. Pity, it used to be about sharing, but now, even some who started out just to share have gotten greedy as well. Now it's all about the highest payout for the poorest service.

mediafire and rapidshare (as slow as it is) are the most reliable.

I can't stand oron or any of the others.

mediafire is best because even split files can be downloaded simultaneously without a premium account and no waiting time.
megaupload was second best.
rapidshare has been around FOREVER.
depositfiles has always been iffy but its better than the newer sites.
hotfile seems to delete files kinda frequently now.

A lot of the newer sites suck, and just forget having multiple parts.

Sendspace also works better than some of the newer sites. I agree that Mediafire, Rapidshare and Depositfiles are the best options. Fileserve and Hotfile are actually working okay. Oron is as iffy as always. Sendspace and Depositfiles are the only ones where I haven't seen any deleted files yet.

Then why not have a test, allow only mediafire and rapidshare as filehosts for a month and see if the forum survives.

I know that they're good, but most of the files here using Oron or Deposit files, so even if I make an account at these other places, there's no point if I can't use it.
