haha @Slimjim... took me a second to realise what u were doing- DOH!

I think there is something comforting about watching reruns. The familiarity is reassuring especially if u are stressed or something...

Yes, some I don't mind watching over cause they were actually entertaining in some to me, others I'm like NEXT.

I like it when channels repeat a new episode several times a week. That way, you can try and watch the episode at a more convenient time.

And re-airing of old series is great. I find that I might not have been interested in a show years ago, but really like it now.

I don't mind a re run of a series. I can sometimes pick things up that I missed or did not quite understand the first time around.

I like re-runs.
Some sit-coms can make me laugh out loud in the same places, even though I know what's coming, having seem them before.

How long does it take to be away from a favorite before you could watch it again with fresh eyes? 5 years? I don't know...

Reruns are fine. Heck, one of my favorite shows, In The Heat of The Night, I never even knew about until a few years ago; over a decade after new episodes ceased.

I also catch Frasier and Cheers every morning; one of the local channels airs them.

I think the thing with reruns is to avoid them of a certain show until it's been long enough you've forgot most of said show. Then it's once again top notch entertainment for you. I also frequently catch shows I love now that I disliked then (Friends for example; no clue why I hated it back in the 90s, it's funny as hell I think) but, unfortunately, there's also the few shows that just aren't as good as I remembered them being.

Honestly, I don't really watch TV. Of the shows I do watch, I wait until they come out on DVD. Then I don't have to worry about watching the same show twice if I don't want to, and I get the added benefit of not having to suffer through all those commercials.

I think reruns can be exciting. I just recently discovered the '90s TV show "Wings". Somehow I missed it when it was showing real time. I found it on Netflix streaming (no endorsement intended!) and now enjoy the show a bunch.

Reruns are the best.
It's nice when the show starts and you go, OMG it's this episode! I can only watch my favorite shows through reruns. I tend to not watch them if I can access them easily.
