Ok guys I need to know your honest opinion. Now there is this guy I have went on a date with and well I took him to lunch a few days ago. Well a few days ago when we had lunch, he rubbed my thigh and then grabbed my hand kissed it and interlaced fingers with me and told me thank you. Then he does it again before he drops me off and gives me a very long hug goodbye and blows me a kiss.

Ok now I want to say yes he likes me and wants to maybe go "steady". How ever I am kinda new to the gay dating scene and have been screwed over by guys saying they like me just to get into my pants. And by latin boys who tell me the first day I love you and well yeah. haha. So what do you guys think. I know this sounds dumb but i need to know if this is not some normal thing us gays do when we just go on dates or if it really means something. btw we have not kissed yet.

First of all, breathe! :yawn: This was one date - a couple of hours of your life. You're analyzing this way too much.

Now, it sounds like this guy had a good time with you. He touched you affectionately - and you don't do that if you're hoping that you never have to see someone again.

Your post is filed with lots of details of what he did and questions about what he wants - but not a word about how you feel about him. What do you want now that you have met him?

I think you have a green light for a second date.

If you want to hold off on sex until you know that there is a relationship there, then that's fine - but be clear about where that line is and why you are drawing it.

• Are you looking for "chemistry"? That should be clear by the second or third date, or it's probably not going to happen.
• Are you looking for a husband? That takes about three years to be sure of. (You have to wait for all the "chemistry" to clear up so you can see each other for who you really are and decide that you want to be with that person - warts and all.)

Make this about what you want. If you like him, ask him out again. If he begs off - well there's your answer.

That is a bit odd at least for me it would be, but maybe he felt something special and it is his way of expressing himself. Or maybe he was just looking for a piece for the night. Me myself I hate the one nighters, just not into that.

I would go out on another date with him and see how it goes, and talk to him and see what his feelings and intentions are and tell him how you feel and what you would like to happen.

The best thing I could tell you is take it slow and if it is rite you will be together, if not you will both move on. If time goes by and you are both still together it was meant to be.

Answer to that... does he likes you? Perhaps but liking versus being attracted are too different things and you can't definitely not see it on a first date. Topdog gave the right answer.

As for love it will take a while... you haven't got to learn all those little habits that will throw you a fit yet LOL.

Take one date at a time... and after the first sexual encounters, because that normally were the first weeks of a dating mechanism lead to, if you feel connected and he feels connected than you can start working on the like/love portion. But frankly it is wayyyyyy too early to ask that question. Go with the flow and you shall not be disappointed or drawn into a lake of mixed emotions. Right now from what you said he is definitely attracted to you, play your cards right and don't push it.

Thanks guys. I should of said this was the second date. We had gone out before. When I edited the post I must of omitted that. But yes this was the second date. For me it's just strange for him to grab my hand like that ya know. That's why I asked is this normal.
