Just tried to do caption on uploadable but 6 times this was unreadable.Why do they do this?Just a jumble of letters.

As soon as that happens, the letters will change to something more complicated, and the cat-and-mouse game begins again.
The whole point of CAPTCHAs is to distinguish between humans and bots/apps.

Well if you cannot read the first one that comes up (and usually you can't ~X() there is always the on to change it by clicking on the icon formed by 2 arrows forming a circle... and then hit it again and again until you get one you can read

There is a (relatively) new type of Captcha isn't there?
The one where 6 images are shown, and user is requested to click all the images of, say cars. There might be only 1, there might be 4. After that, either it lets you through or it request for you to click on more pictures.
Anyone had problems with that one? I think its far more user friendly, though I'm not sure if it fools a program/bot

That's the latest offering from Google through it's re-captcha service, and I believe it's actually very effective against robots. A real win-win, easier on humans, harder on robots.

Is it not racist to do this to poor robots? How shocking to deprive them of access to porn... I want robot rights!!!!
