I have some skull candy ones that are pretty good, the only downside is that when they are in for a long time they give you a headache.

When it comes to falling asleep to an iPod/iPad, why not use the built-in speaker in the modern iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad rather than head phones - that's what I do - I use the clock app to sleep my iPhone in 15 minutes, and put on an audio book on speaker.

If you have an older iPod without a speaker then I'd suggest a dock of some sort that you can plug your own speakers into. There are also great radio alarm clocks with an iPod dock at the top to allow you to use your iPod as your alarm.

Klipsch are the best.. they're pricey - they can go in the €100s-€200 range, but they are brilliant with both comfort and sound, sadly I lost mine over a year ago.

I currently own some earbuds from Sony (Sony MDREX36V/BLK EX), and they are pretty comfortable, they slip out every now and again when i sleep, but this is usually like after I've fallen asleep. And best part is.. they are quite reasonable.. €20

Klipsch are the best!!!

Why? Are they cheap? Are they particularly durable? Do they have particularly good sound quality?

I hate pointless religions statements on tech - they help NO ONE!

I hate earbuds. As an athlete I like to listen during an activity. I snowboard, roller blade, hike/trek, and freestyle ice skate. (If it wasn't so dangerous, I'd wear them while road bicycling, but anyways my bike club prohibits them).
.
.
I've got a set of Sony's which cost $20 and are far and away the best headphones I've ever used. They are yellow and have a spring headband. They stay in no matter what you do, impossible to knock them loose. I do jumps and spins (and falls) on the ice and those Sony's stay glued to my head. I've taken violent tumbles while snowboading and the Sony's stay locked in.

I've been using headphones since I fell in love with music, have a couple of high quality ones for recording and monitoring. These cheap Sony's go up against the best in sound quality.
