Well, for a Soap Opera, 3 Years is something of a short run.
Bold and the Beautiful, Young and the Restless, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, Another World, Guiding Light, As the World Turns, One Life to Live- all soap operas, and all have run longer (I believe) than anything playing in prime time currently, not counting news series like 48 hours.
