Editing Titles help

When you go to edit a title, it will change the title of the thread, but the original name is still in the list of topics for what forum its in....Like for instance, I posted a clip a few hours ago that I wanted to call Matt Hughes - Indie Boyz....instead I accidentally only typed Matt Hughes. Well, I like my titles to be a bit more descriptive than that, so I went back to edit the title, and when I did, it returned me to the forum that I posted it in, but the original name still appeared. When I clicked that thread, and opened it, the small title that appears in the little blue bar right above the text (that tells you the name of the thread), well that was changed. I've noticed this before, but its starting to get annoying. All I want to do is change a title of a thread that I created.

I think that members should be able to *actually* edit the titles of the threads they create.

Thank you very much. Its been like this for as long as I've been a part of the community. I'm a very...whats the word...clumsy person. I make a lot of mistakes, and It would be nice to actually edit the title of my thread, and have it changed. Thanks for looking into this for me.

Okay, now I have an answer for you.

There was a time-limit of 5 minutes in which you could change the title of the thread you created. This time-limit now has been extended to 10 minutes.
Afterwards you can't do it yourself anymore and would have to ask a member of the staff to change it for you if you want to show the changed title in the list.

By enabeling this option we avoid members changing the titles when they are not on the first pages and we don't have them in our sight anymore.

Okay, I understand, Thank you. Does this mean that its 10 min. for EVERYONE now...WOW. Its good to know that the members here can *change* the site, in a manner of speaking.
