I just got up, i went to bed early tonight and now I find out Ted Kennedy died....fuck fuck fuck end of an era!!!!!!

sad day for me.......lol

How very true, Thor. He is the last of a very rare breed. It's a very sad day for all of us who feel the struggles of ordinary every day life. The "little people" have lost a very dear friend. Very sad, indeed.

This is a very sad day, the underdogs of the world have lost their lion, their champion.

But....in his words...."For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die" It's something conservatives just don't understand.

EMK and RFK....are two of my heroes...whenever I go to Arlington, instead of going to my gggrandfather's grave, I go to Bobby's grave ...and I can't help it...I see his small and simple white cross...I always cry

I cry...because of the great promise the world lost when he was killed....had he lived and become president....our world would have been so different...so very different and better...

So glad to hear, Teddy will be buried next to his brothers.

He was the last in a line of , dare I say, different US politicians. There was an interview yesterday with a friend of his on BBC radio who said he didn't think he really had ambitions to become president, and probably didn't want to.

He was one of those untouchable forces that had to be listened to, that had respect and was sadly the last voice to really stand up on the other side of the fence.

We have very few here too, if any , anymore!
