I stay in a lot of hotels. i know that there are gay resorts in places such as Ft Lauderdale and Palm Springs, but those are really motels where the action is centered around a clothing optional pool.

So what if you could build a guys only hotel? I am talking about something with decent room, such as a Sheraton or Doubletree. I would want something that was not just a sex resort, and maybe even geared to both straight and gay men. What I REALLY want is something where all the staff were male and gay friendly, you didn't have to worry about closing the damn curtains every time you take off your pants, you could comfortably watch porn without having to use headphones, or room service finding your toys.

What would you have? How would you make it work?I guess I would kind of like to have some kind of sauna/bathhouse, but I would keep it seperate from the rooms and go big with it. Make it more a cool place to be than jut about the hookups. A gay bar obviously. But could you do anything ele? Woudl you need to?

This is all about just blue sky fantasies, so go for it. Doesnt have to make a ton of sense.

Instead of a hotel or motel, I'd go with a campground offering a selection of camp amenities including secluded primitive tent sites, modern tent sites with electricity and running water, RV sites, rustic cabins, and luxury cabins. Of coarse there would be shower facilities and restrooms available for the campers opting to "rough it", a lodge with a bar and restaurant, clothing optional beach at the lake, canoes, hiking trails with added surprises like glory holes along the path. There would be a gym, zip lines, a rock climbing wall, etc. Basically a place where you can relax and enjoy nature while doing what comes naturally or add some adventure to your cruising...

There have been a few holiday resorts for gay men in this country but I don't know if they still operate. One high profile one (Turtle Beach) ended up going mainstream and admitting the straights. The alternative was going out of business. It seems the market in this country is just too small.

These places probably cost a packet of money to run, and the fewer clients they get the more they have to charge each client to break even, which can result in a death spiral. Same with the concept of a gay cruise. Cruises are expensive anyway; if you restrict it to only men, and state that it's intended for gay men, you have to get a lot of them to operate the cruise at a profit... and if you don't so restrict it, there hardly seems to be any point. The guys don't want to be told "You are welcome, but please wear something more substantial than a thong on the sundeck, we don't want to upset the Mums and the kiddies."

In Berlin there are a number of "hetero friendly" hotels, It's all very welcoming and tranquil. No orgies, no pools no one is openly fucking around.
They are nice hotels, conveniently priced, mainly focused on a "creative" gay clientele but also very welcoming towards heterosexuals who wish to stay in a nice hotel with lots of gay people around.

If you want to meet up in the dining room or in the bar you're free to do so but just as you would in a mainstream hotel - the only difference is the probability of finding another gay customer is higher.

Texas has several really nice Gay campgrounds. We enjoy several but our favorite is a working Texas Longhorn cattle ranch. They have a campground and also bunkhouses you can stay in. They have horseback riding with trail rides or you can go off on your own over several hundreds of acres. There is boating, fishing, swimming in a spring fed pond or in a swimming pool, and other activities. The ranch is for males only and a surprising number of straight men go there.
True unconditional love for Mother Earth, her creatures and, fellowship with like-minded men is what you find there, we return home with a renewed and cleansed spirit.

Resorts in Palm Springs, Key West Ft Lauderdale & Fire Island

All Worlds Resorts, Palm Springs
All Worlds Resorts’ 2 buildings are located on Warm Sands drive, just minutes from downtown Palm Springs. They boast 6 pools, 2 hot tubs, and throw a fun Sunday pool party and BBQ very week!

If you are looking at a gay clothing optional Palm Springs resort, All Worlds Resorts have you covered. They sell daytime and evening passes to the public, so the pools are full of people to meet and hang out with during your stay!

If you are hoping for a quieter stay, I suggest asking to stay at the Annex. It doesn’t attract the crowds of men that the main building does, so it is a lot more tranquil even during peak season!

La Dolce Vita Resort, Palm Springs
La Dolce Vita Resort is a gay clothing optional Palm Springs resort. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the Palm Springs ‘gayborhood’, this resort boasts about 20 rooms and 2 beautiful swimming pools to lounge next to. The rooms are a little dated depending on which one you decide to book, but you probably won’t be spending much time in there anyways!

La Dolce Vita is home to a beautiful all male spa, and they offer a ton of great packages and services. A stay isn’t complete without at least one massage or facial!

Island House, Key West
Island House is probably the most famous gay resort in Key West, Florida. Island house is an extremely popular gay resort in Key West. People flock to this resort from around the world for their laidback vibe and amazing parties.

Island house is located just a short walk away from many of the beaches, clubs, bars, and activities that happen in Key West, making it the perfect location if you’re looking for a more upbeat stay.

Their rooms range from fancier villa type rooms, to rooms that are pretty basic. If you’re hoping to save a few bucks, grab the cheaper ones here! You won’t be staying in the room much anyways, with so much going on!

Alexander's Guesthouse, Key West
Alexander’s guesthouse is a beautiful and quaint guesthouse located in the historic heart of ‘Old Town’, Key West. Alexander’s Guesthouse has a beautiful 3 storey design.

Alexander’s Guesthouse has a hot tub, friendly staff, fun happy hours, and an LGBT inclusive vibe. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is a lot quieter while in Key West, you have found your resort!

While the hotel was built in 1902, the property and rooms have been beautifully updated to reveal a ‘tropical paradise’. If you plan to stay here, do note that the resort is an adult only one, meaning you need to be over 21 to stay here!

Belvedere, Fire Island
Belvedere is considered the premiere gay resort on the Cherry Grove side of Fire Island. Like most gay resorts, it is clothing optional, so make sure you are over 18. Belvedere has a variety of different room options, ranging from a beautiful rotunda rooms, to a water themed room, and even an oak style one!

The rooms aren’t the only thing that are designed beautifully, though. The architecture on the building looks like something out of a London magazine! Ever corner you turn, you will find a new antique, fountain, or sculpture to look at.

This hotel has quite a wait list to snag a room, especially during peak season. Make sure you can get one before committing to it!

Fire Island Pines Retreat
Fire Island Pines Retreat is a relatively inexpensive and very open resort. You can book your vacations retreat based, with packages ranging from events and excursions, all inclusive, and more.

Fire Island Pines Retreat welcomes all members of the LGBT community as well as heterosexual people.

They boast free WiFi, free breakfast, a pool deck, sauna deck, panoramic deck, and a barbecue kitchen all included in the price of their many room options.

The Big Coconut Guesthouse
Honestly, one of the things we love most about this guesthouse is the name! But aside from that, it’s also a chilled and affordable accommodation option if you want to stay somewhere friendly with amazing staff.

You’re a bit further away from the beach here, but you can enjoy the clothing optional outdoor pool and bar area. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, although the décor is a bit old-fashioned. But when the weather’s this good, you’ll only be there to sleep anyway!

Cabanas Guesthouse and Spa Fort Lauderdale
In the heart of Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale’s gay town, you’ll find this charming adult-only gay guesthouse. The rooms are bright, colourful, simply decorated and clean, equipped with TVs, fridges, microwaves and coffee-making facilities (so you don’t have to face the world without caffeine!).

The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, thanks in no small part to the friendly staff. We also love the treatments available in the spa and the aromatherapy steam room. The saltwater pool is heated and clothing-optional. If you feel like being active you can rent a bike or kayak for free – we recommend clothing for this, though!

Cheston House, Fort Lauderdale
It’s not the most luxury clothing optional gay resort in Fort Lauderdale, but its loyal following proves that this quiet guesthouse is doing plenty right. The grounds are charming and you can strip down at the outdoor swimming pool. The fact that it’s small means you’re more likely to get chatting to fellow guests.

If you want to get out and about, you’re only 10 minutes from the Sebastian Street stretch of Fort Lauderdale’s beach, which is the gay beach. When you need a break from the sun and partying, your room is clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you need.

Coral Reef Guesthouse, Fort Lauderdale
It’s the staff that really make this one of the most popular clothing optional gay resorts in Fort Lauderdale. The eight rooms are nice enough and the courtyard and pool are very attractive. It’s a peaceful environment as the guesthouse is located in a residential area.

The service is personal, friendly and makes you feel comfortable and at home straight away. The team will give you excellent recommendations for where to explore as they know the city well. If you prefer to spend your vacation getting to know the area then this is the ideal base to retreat to.
