File Hosting Stupidity

Since Filesonic and a few others have disappeared, I notice a couple of newer hosting sites in use. So this is just my opinion and no one else's - I am not buying any memberships in any more sites. I have a couple of months left with Oron, (lost 6 months with Filesonic), and about one month left on Depositfiles.

I am pissed off and tired of playing games and spending money on sites that sometimes don't provide what they promise, and then disappear taking my $$$ with them. When my premium memberships expire, that is it - I am not going to renew and if free downloading takes too long, I will quit doing that as well. I've come to the conclusion that as cute as the models are and as hot as some of the action is, I am bored with all the crap I have to do to see the videos.

Count me as about to vanish and find something else to tickle my fancy Something tells me that I am not alone in feeling this way.

I understand If you are someone who's willing to pay for these file hosts, you have to know that the file hosting industry is really unstable now. The next file host you sign up maybe gone the next day.

Shout out to Oron - they are really in trouble now because the porn industry is attacking their payment processors. So think twice before signing up with them.

Anyway there are other ways to get free porn and don't have to pay a single cent

Actually their servers are in Germany. They are hosted on

Plus there quite a few posts being removed by them and new posts with files not found, which doesn't look very good.

You know you can go onto paypal if thats how you paid and ask for a refund saying they didn't give you the service you paid for.

Good idea about the paypal refund - had not thought about that. When I did have premium accounts with file share services I think I just went month by month but lately I've found that I only download single clips every couple of days so having a premium account seems pointless. As far as the file sharing sites go - thinking that if there seems to be a way to make money offering that type of service there will always be new or just renamed providers.

i don t use filehosters anymore. Realplayer has a pluggin, which allows to download vids direct from streaming videosites. It works perfect.

I don't blame anyone for being pissed, I just bought a premium membership in Mega about a week before they went under. What's worse, my PC (Windows Vista) crashed & I had to get Windows 7 installed, and I lost my emails, so I couldn't even ask for a refund from PayPal.

But we also need a little perspective. It's a bit scary now, but IMO the whole situation is stabilizing now. I have a paid subscription to Oron & as of this moment haven't had a single problem. I also just bought one to Deposit Files because so many uploaders are switching to them now.

If I lose the money, I lose it. IMO I throw money away every time I go to a restaurant. I know it's different, you're paying for something in exchange for a service that you don't get, but what's done is done.

One thing I can say for sure: it's NOT gonna change the beautiful, fulfilling, and highly rewarding relationship I have with porn!

I don't like Oron. They are much too expensive. Because of the exchange rate between the US dollar and the euro, a year's member ship comes to almost $100 US. No thanks.

If I join any of these services it will be just for one month.

Actually, I don't. My opinion (& I have nothing to back it up) is that the Mega takedown was about something else, like maybe the way they operated, & not so much about the content. I read a comment by another member who thinks it was because they were so open about flaunting the US laws.

Fileserve & Filesonic took themselves down, & Fileserve is now back up, although they purged a lot of files. & so far none of the other filesharers seem to be affected at all.

There's always a lot of fighting about which filesharers are good & bad & why; I think Oron & Deposit Files are two of the worst for free users to use, but a lot of uploaders use them, which is why I paid them. I'm fully aware that that's what they wanted me to do & that's why they're so bad on free users, but it was a choice of either sending them money or constantly fussing over how terrible they are. I chose to relax & reduce my chance of having a heart attack.
