Wow, I've never been more grateful to members who share via zippy, mediafire, deposit, and hotfile.

I bought a premium membership at gator because so many people are using it. The speeds are as slow (slower!) than for free users... about 35kb/sec. No shit, I am d/l a 800MB file and the initial estimate was 5 hours. 3 hours later it has 4 hrs to go.

No , It is not a joke!!! I myself bought a premium at gator (as you name it) last year and I lost all my money! I kept on sending messages to them, but I got absolutely nothing. Not my money back, not a mere apology, not a REAL attempt to solve it: downloading speed was, most of the times, even slower than that for free users. I even got a premium at another company, in case my server were to blame, but I had no problems with this second company. In the end, I had to give up, because they wouldn`t even hear of refunding my money and I got fed up with getting angry. I even posted my case here, but nothing came out of it. And I still keep all the messages they sent me....

I do have a premium membership of Rapidgator and Uploaded and I download from both at the maximum speed of my connection.
I don't know what your problems are, but I also must say that I do use Internet Download Manager when downloading stuff and Mipony when downloading lots of files while I'm not in front of my PC (you can set up your premium account(s) there).

Yes uploaded is reliable too. Thank you for using it. I always choose it when downloading one of your fine posts. I just clicked both for a recent 190MB file. Both upload (free) and gator (premium) were about an hour. Upload sped up and dropped to 45mins. Gator was still over an hour.

I'm still waiting for my bigger file to finish. The one I talked about when I started this thread 4hrs ago. 30mins to go...

That is very weird. Please try to install Mipony (which is free) and set up your Rapidgator premium account to see if there is at least a little improvement.
You can also find a cracked version of IDM, which you can easily find anywhere on the net.
I hope that you resolve this because it is definitely not normal.

I'd still suggest you try Internet Download Manager. They offer a free 30 days trial so you can test it.
You can then decide if you want to buy it or simply install a cracked version, hehehe.

Igetter is the best I've used it for over 3 years now. You can download using up to 15 simultaneous connections. I've gotten over 1Mbs many times before.
