Oh wow I was just going to say that Mediafire looks like the greatest thing ever and I was going to start right away. But I did some extra research and I was lucky to find something that I easily wouldn't have found normally. It says in the Mediafire terms of service that when you upload content to their website that you give them a license to redistribute or sell your content and it doesn't end once you have removed the files from their website. This was according to a Wikipedia page, which is reliable sometimes but generally unreliable, but I have heard it from friends of mine and have found it on a couple of websites. I read the terms of service myself to see if someone was misinterpreting something, and the legal language is very confusing. It seems like it could be saying that by uploading to their site, and you use the site to share your files and not keep them private, then you are giving them permission to redistribute or sell your content. It doesn't say though "when you decide to keep your files public and not private" but it might be implied by just saying "you give us permission to sell or redistribute your content" when it is available under obvious conditions. The obvious conditions being when it is public. But I'm not sure now, and I'm pissed. Thank you for the suggestion, and I would have been all about it if I wasn't lucky enough to hear and read that about it. I am very new to this and so far I have found Hotfile. It seems to redeem the quality of the video very well, and it gives you ninety days until erased if it's not "accessed." And when they meant "accessed" they meant by someone else. Do some sites keep you files if you, as another user or if actually someone else, tries to download the file or do you have to download the entire file for the most part? And I didn't even think about a download limit, now I have to look into that. But thank you for the suggestion because it was a good one and anyone could have easily missed that detail. Or maybe you knew but figured I wouldn't mind and a lot of people wouldn't, and that's fine too. I didn't specify that I have some private files that I want to upload and even if I did you were just suggesting.
