To be honest, I have no idea. But then again at first nobody thought that posting a picture on facebook would cause them any problems. Just like the real world, everything you do in the cyber world could have unforeseen consequences.

One scenario, You posted a picture from a gay porn studio, using their extensive expertise, google sells your information, and the next thing you know your getting junk mail from porn distributors in very explicit packaging delivered to your mothers house because it wasn't updated in your google account that you got your own place six months ago...:rofl:

Google is a Big Brother. He can see whatever you do. He records all your searches. Especially if you're signed in. And you have to be signed in for having this lovely background image. Well it's all automated. But you are there, open as a book whenever they need to check on you.

They say they respect your privacy. If you believe of course.
Well I believe they do. But the fact that all your history, everything what you've ever done through Google, is safely saved somewhere for all times, well to me that's a bit disturbing.

I agreed. It is also the same searching any online search engine. Also when you go into website, it is also saved somewhere. But oh well,

I think people worry too much and create self paronoia. Do you really think that with the millions of searches a day anyone is going to be seriously monitoring everything you do? Unless there is a reason to flag you up for something very serious there is no way anyone is ever going to take any notice.

Information on anybody has been findable for years, your whole day can be tracked if necessary, right down to what you bought for dinner!

People have been flagged up for very serious things by being completely innocent too. It is known that FBI spies on US citizens (and abroad) with a modern computer help. Which means computers do the spying, not human beings. A weird combination of words appearing in your sms for example could be enough for you to come on their suspect list.

People don't take the privacy issues serious enough which means the doors to Orwellian society are wide open. Especially in computer era. Nobody is ever going to generously give you your rights. Human rights were always a result of a fight.
