Singapore's men's swimming team at the Asian games in China have been criticized by their own government for having an "inappropriate" design on their speedos. Looks OK to me, especially with the single word on their swimming caps (enlarge the image to see what it reads)! And what do you think the guy on the right is whispering behind the backs of the 2 gorgeous twunks* at the front?

*"twunk" - a twinky hunk, or hunky twink.

I definitely think the suit design is inappropriate. I think they shouldn't wear suits at all :)

Last night I watched a documentary on the history of Singapore. At one time it was colloquially known as "Sin-galore", for the simple reason that it was the sleaze capital of SE Asia, thanks to the British government and the British East India Company, who found it convenient to pocket the money rolling in from opium selling, prostitution and other such activities, usually called "vices".

The government of today's Singapore has always sought to deny their history and projeect a squeaky-clean image of a place where everyone is happy and well-behaved and God-fearing. They need to pull their heads out of their collective arses.

Actually is was the water polo team... lol, anyway, I thought it was not that bad, it was just un-expected so the strong response from the government..
also, there might be a case of double standards here; the society in Singapore is rather conservative when compared to that of the western societies eg US, thus, it might be wiser to just state that Singapore was conservative to start with and it would take time for it to evolve to a more liberal one.

Yea, I am from Singapore. Though I don't really like some of the stuff the government does, I do understand the rationale behind it and appreciate their efforts! (spoken like a true patriot:thinking:)
