I'm sorry,but I will never budge...the ORIGINAL Hairspray with Rikki Lake was my shit...-shrugs shoulders- Zac Efron should do gay porn...I'm sure some of US would download his shit.....

Quite right Duck !! In 99% of cases the original is always the best, the rest are just cash-ins! As for trying to squeeze even more out by making a pointless sequel - will Hollywood ever learn ???

It sort of is and isn't a remake. Its the movie version of the broadway show lol

Yeah. I love the original movie and like the musical version which I don't consider a remake.
But - I wouldn't want a sequel for it. I don't think anyone would ever want a sequel for it. There are some genres that aren't meant for sequels and usually, romantic comedies and musicals top that list.
Just look at the musical history, and not counting the High School Musical-franchise (which is the exception for the rule), you find almost no musical sequels. There are very few and those always fail - Grease 2, anyone?

I actually liked the new version of Hairspray. The original and the new one are so different of course because the new one was based on the musical and not on the movie, but however the case I thought it was an amazing film. And to be honest I didn't really like Zac in the movie lol, I think it's the hair but he has done better XD
