Are we talking about hair in the pubic area around the place where the dick emerges, or hair on the dick itself? Because in my experience the latter is very rare, and not something I would find terribly appealing. As for pubic hair in general, I don't care one way or the other, except i don't like too much on the balls, not if I am going to take them in my mouth.
