Wishing all my fellow Americans a Happy celebration of the 248th Day of the Declaration of Independence creating the first thirteen States of our Republic. In two years we celebrate the 250th Day of Independence.

We’re celebrating with traditional foods and this evening just after sunset we’ll watch the traditional fireworks display. Beer and Wine will be consumed in copious amounts. Revelry will ensue.

Have a great night.... Here in the UK we have the General Election today (Thurs). The polls close in 2 hours at 22:00 tonight and most of the results will be out in the early hours of tomorrow morning so I'm hoping I will have reasons to celebrate too tomorrow night.
