Does any one know what Polverones are and how they differ from Mexican Wedding Cookies? I am planning on making Polverones and was just curious what information I could find.

Some Polvorones recipes are what they call Mexican Wedding cookies in Spain although with a dramatic difference, they use an awful lot more lard in the Spanish version. Here is a link of blogs, if you search for Mexican Wedding cookies it will give you many versions of it with pictures. Search for polvorones and it will give you two different versions, one of them look exactly like Mexican Wedding cookies.

Polvorones are pretty similar to the Italian Almond Cookies, and just as easy to make. They are buttery, crumbly, and very tasty. Pretty easy to make too. Here is an easy recipe (make extra and hide in your bedroom).
