Anyone know how I can download files from Rockettube? I tried firefox plugins and the activity browser for safari no luck. Any help would be great.

Help with downloading streaming video

You can't download streaming clips with common tools like FF downloadhelper because there isn't a temp file which can be saved, u need to record the stream directly . Tools like WM Recorder are able to do this.

So I gave it a try and it didn't work for the site I was trying they do have a "screen record" option. Maybe I will try that.

For most stream sites (like YouTube and XTube), RealPlayer downloader works perfectly, and doesn't need to create temp files. If you don't already have it, download it for free from real.com. Unfortunately, I've noticed that it doesn't work for RocketTube and DailyMotion.
Try doing a Google search on your problem, and see what comes up. I'm sure you will find a tool that works.

I had the firefox streaming video downloader and it worked great for vids here at GH.org until I upgraded to the most recent version of Firefox. Now I still have the icon for the downloader on my browser, but it no longer downloads videos posted here. Any idea what is wrong?

not sure what you can always do is if you see a copy link option then just past it back into Firefox and it should download.

Rockettube don't allows you to download their media. Instead, it's streamed in real-time, with nothing actually getting stored on your PC. Its a different technology to Youtube and those other Video portals.
The only way to get these is to capture these with a screen record tool.
