Hobby or Habit

at first looking at porn is a hobby --its fun to do and all--it becomes a habit when it becomes all you do and cant wait until you watch next one

It`s good to watch porn in a social setting, a group of buddies drinking together, playing cards, etc and I do occasionally watch a movie on my own Can porn be an addictive habit? well I suppose it can, but it is no more wrong than doing what most of us gay men do in our ordinary lives ; continually checking out guys, mentally undressing them, imagining having sex with them. Porn is just one more way of feeding our libidos.

I guess for me it has become a bit of a habit. I tend to look at the forums when I get home from work and again before I go to bed - that way if I want to download anything I can do it while I am asleep. I admit that when my computer crashed about a year ago I kind of had withdrawals not only from not being able to look at the different forums but that I could not look up anything - I felt so very isolated for about a week or so. It took a little time to fit in the scheduling of having someone out to fix the problem.

Not only with porn but with the internet in general. It borders on dependency after a while. To curb it, I don't get into the internet when on vacation or when traveling.

My computer has become a virtual porn machine ! This means, I suspect, that for me, porn is a habit. I now have a hall closet jammed with DVDs I've burned from downloaded porn clips -- 95% of which I'll never watch again, most likely. Again, the symptom of a habit. Oh well.
