What are people's experiences with Hotfile? Any suggestions for other sites?

yes somehow you need to open link first in the web before using it (copy paste) into Internet Download Manager or Free Download Manager so bye..bye...batch download, same exp from Megaupload (megamanager has 90% success download, when downloaded Bluray rip few file not correctly download and it has more than 150 link download in one movie)
rapidshare still my first choice(i'm using hotfile premium acc just for download from this forum)

I for one really like it rite now its my fav of all the file sites out there.

Upload is very easy ( wich i like ) and downloads are fast for me.

Ive Rapidshare as well as Hotfile. RS is also my first choice.
I never had problems with RS nor Hotfile.

I recently got a Hotfile membership and never had any issues with the site. Other than the long wait between download for free users, I consider it my top site.

I agree with luxferre, it's hard to organise batch downloads, which are extremely simple with rapidshare, and after the recent changes rapidshare has even become much cheaper for a premium user than hotfile - I am using both, but at the moment I too think that rapidshare is better.

In terms of file preservation Hotfile is the best. Rapidshare is quicker, but they delete files quite soon. Hotfile can sometimes be slow (perhaps a server problem), but I have the best experiences with them. Megaupload is also good and fast, but the do not allow for direct downloads. Stay away from Oron (unless you're a Moron).

I've never had a problem with Hotfile. The inability to batch download is the only thing I find annoying; but as stated by others, I've found more longevity with HF downloads than I have with any other site. Plus it's one of the consistently fastest sites I've used.

But the downside is you have to wait for 30 mins to download a file as a free user which is quite annoying :/

On an uploader's point of view, well you have to maintain your rank by selling prems... which I hate. I mean I had a lot of ppl buying prems one time but on another time, I didnt have any, it lowered my rank by two.. grrrr....

I have beef with hotfile's RU cause it only limits you to a daily bandwith and is really slow :/ Fileserve's RU is pretty fast and doesn't have any bandwith restrictions when it comes to RU.

I agree with Jockuser24 - CS on filesonic is a headache. I sent like 10 emails to them and non answered back. When you upload, some files are missing and its really a pain*
