How do you download from websites

Hi, I have a subscription to a few websites and I wanted to download the videos for myself and so I can also share. Anyone know what software I should use or what to do?

The only software you really need is a program for making screencaptures.

Will this also record the whole video or just make pictures from it? Also this only seems to want to use files that I already have saved on my computer. I was trying to get videos directly from the websites.

Yes. You have to download (save) the videos first on your computer. Than you have to make screencaps with imagegrabber or similar software.
After that you upload the video on one of the allowed filehost and upload the screencaps on a picture host.
When it's done you can post both links on one of our subforums (gay, bi, straight, videos, pictures etc.)

So do you know what software I need to get the movies. I've tried various ones but they never seem to do what they say they will. One of the sites, I've been trying to get movies from is dawgpoundusa.

try using IDM.. it can download automatic for u, including FLV files...

Hi Prodigylogic.

You shouldn't need special software, although they can be useful .. you should be able to just click on the "download link" on the sites and then click on "save" and save the file to your computer... it should be that easy :thinking:

It really depends on the type of website and which technology they use. On a lot of sites they don't like you to simply download the stuff. On sites using Flash, you can try to use Firefox and and addon called "Flash Video Downloader". There are many tools like this for Firefox, you can get them through the "addons" menu item in the "Tools" menu. You can go to Youtube or GH's streaming video section to testdrive the addon, it should display an additional icon in the low right corner of the window.

Some sites use a special flash player instead of directly streaming the videos. For these, ripping is more complicated.

to download flash, you can use the idm extension (IDM app still needed)

IDM, really improves the dowloading of files, i recommend you guys to use it.
