I feel badly for anyone whose family or loves ones are ill or have passed. Life does go on, and we do have the power to pull ourselves up out of the doldrums.

For me, thankfully, all has been pretty good, no setbacks and all is moving forward as expected.

2011 has been an intense year.

worrying about and trying to contact friends here in Aus (Queensland) during floods, in Christchurch (NZ) after the earthquake, and especially very dear friends in Japan.

regardless of my own situation, it pales into insignifigance compared to what so many have gone through.

PS. Etilit, stay strong, hugs from me as well.

2011 has been quite a roller coaster ride for me. Passed important exams, my grandma passed away, got an offer to work for a big MNE, fell in love but crushed into pieces, etc.

but overall it's been a good year. it's my year anyway (i'm a rabbit according to the Lunar calendar) :)

Ups and downs. But that is normal when you get older. Now and than the props of your social scenery fall down and disappear. Last Saturday my beloved dog (14 years of age) died. I buried him in my garden.

My deepest condolences; I'm so sorry to hear of so much loss. Sending strength your way.

As for myself... it's been trying... there's been a lot of personal change within these past 5 months (it's honestly felt like years already) and there seems to be a revolving door mentality with a bit of it. I think I'm just trying to sort of stop everything and take it easy, but alas; a lot of the changes were needed, so it's OK. I hoping to get to my goal of moving by the end of the year, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my mind positive.

Still unemployed. Still disabled and fighting to get my disability approved. I have totally wiped out all my savings on dr's copay with the good insurance that I have. But soon I will lose that as my unemployment runs out this month. I will then be living on the 10% disability I get from the VA from my navy years (20 years ago) and ssi which I think is less that $300 a month. Since I am unable to hold a job or even work 10 hrs a week let alone 40. Plus the fact I haven't made it through any of the interviews I have been to to be hired are I am obviously disabled (I twitch alot and make noises like I had Tourette Syndrome but it's not that).
