my family has this stupid family tradition to give all the boys 4 names with the first names being hyphenated and one of the names (first or middle) comes from the previous generation and the middle name always starts with a "W"
my first name is James-RXXXXX ...so I get called JR by some...
crazy...but yeah I carried on the tradition with my sons....

During one of my marriages...we both used a hyphenated last name....
so my name was like
JXXXX-RXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXX-XXXXX, III

There is the name I was born with, then there is the name I've chosen for myself - I only take full ownership of the latter, and it is all I use anymore (except, of course, the aliases I have online.) So, I have many names and one name.
