Your statement is far more serious than it seems. Bombing missions are now performed by people who are sitting elsewhere. They actually extinguish people with their keyboard. The knights who looked through their visor to the battlefield have become history.

This is nothing new. You can argue that we have had this ability since the discovery of the use of gunpowder to project objects which kill. Or even before that with the use of the bow and arrow. The difference is simply a matter of range.
If you were a military commander, which would you choose? Commit your troops to a task which may result in casualties to both sides, or take action in which the chances of own casualties are reduced to nil. Would you concede that it was morally right for the Allies to go to war against Nazi Germany and Japan? Almost certainly. Would it not have been preferable to wage that war with remotely piloted vehicles and guided munitions, had the technology existed, thus reducing Allied and civilian casualties? I think so.
Speaking as an ex member of the British Armed Forces, I know that no soldier wants to fight. Sometimes it is necessary to do so but this is a political decision not a military one. What you may consider totally unjustified is the commitment of armed forces in pursuit of a self-serving strategy.

..neither a soldier or commander wants to fight...both will bear the burden of war and both know thisso why do we let the ones that dont fight make the decisions?

Nothing has ever changed in the history of mankind
Even though the majority don't want, only the very few will stand up and say NO
When more than one stands up we get a change and more bcome confident. It's happening right now in parts of the world.
One thing that has changed so much is communication technology, and apart from North Korea the world is now available to be talked to and able to see! I don't think the dictatorships of old are or will have happy times again. As times move on more and more will rebel.
There will always be the elite but they won't , and don't, have the power they once did!
