I have a crush on a st8 guy! Help me!

Hi everybody!

Almost a month ago I saw a very hot guy on the bus, when I was going to downtown. I felt something, but then I thought that I would never see that guy again so it's not worth to go crazy.
Then I saw him again, and guess what?! He is living in my neighborhood. YAY!
But I'm completely sure he is str8. I don't know what to do.
I don't know his name, even where he is living exactly. He is living somewhere close to my house. And I don't even dare to follow him or something.
And the other thing is that I live in such a homophobic city. That sucks.
I lose my mind when I see him outside. The other day I was walking and saw him, he had black shorts, it made me almost cry. I am seriously in love with a guy, the name of whom I don't even know.
I'm in love so badly.

And I have never had a bf. Nobody knows that I've feelings to that guy.

Any advices?
I will appreciate your help.

First off, you don't know that he isn't gay if you don't know him.

and if you have never met him how do you know he isn't a real bastard?

You need to decide why you believe you are in 'love' with him, after all you know nothing about him, his humors, likes, dislikes, or even his sexual identity.

Sit back and think about why this guy has affected you so much and learn about yourself. You must know that falling in love with a straight man is a hopeless case and would only bring you much grief in the long run, with your family, his family, your community and yourself.

I totally agree with Mark. You don't know anything about this guy and yet, you are saying that you are in love with him...well..HOW????...and if you assume or know that he is definitely straight..then you are DEFINITELY..fighting a losing battle that could possibly cause you physical harm...if you know what I mean..one of the worst thing that a gay guy can do is make advances towards a straight guy and once he realizes what you are doing ...he could possibly want to kick your ASS...

So..what all that being said..I really think you need to sit back and take a long in-depth look at the big picture before attempting something that could be drastic.

It's not really love it's infatuation, or a crush, and never having had a bf can make it easier to get crushes like this. You fall more in love with the idea than the actual person. I don't believe you can really love anyone you don't know, you just fall for the dream.

Next time you walk past him just nod & say "good morning" quite innocently or whatever, see if there is a reaction. One thing not to do is pine over someone you don't know, it might block you seeing someone else you may have more chance with

Eh, it's torture huh. I use to work a blockbuster it was hot nerdy guy heaven. The coolest thing was that I use to write down their account emails and stalk them on Facebook...one of the hottest guys was actually gay lol. None compared to my co-worker though he was my work BFF but a total asshole...that I would dreamed about jerking off a lot lol.

Hey..there you go...that's what I'm talking about..now you see the big picture..you know ..I believe in fate..and when its your time to meet that special someone ..it will happen on its own accord..what I like most about your analogy is the fact of you realizing that he is not the only guy on the planet!!..my little boy is so growing up...lol..lol... :rofl:there are sooo many flavors out here..its just like a Baskin and Robbins ...so much to choose from...get your spoon ready..dude..lol..good luck :thumbs up:

Haha I wish I was, I'm still new to the gay identity.

On topic, I can say that it's best to think quite pessimistically to get over situations like these. Normally I'm an optimist, but being negative and increasingly more dismissive of the idea helps get over a straight guy. That and looking for even the most minuscule things about them that could annoy you will help to dislike them haha. I know from experience on that one.
