I have the week off work

YAY I have the week off work. just had to get away from the place for a bit. Not had any time off since Christmas and then only the actual holiday days.

Yesterday (Monday) I did absolutely nothing. I did not even leave the house.

Today (Tuesday) I have done quite a bit. Cleaned up this room. The baby Dyson has been charged three times! Filed away a load more DVD's into folders, and binned all the DVD covers. It is amazing how much space DVD covers take up. I still need to scan in all the DVD covers, but my scanner is not working. Maybe I will ask for another one for my birthday in a few months time.

Been in the garden today as well to do some clearing up. Loads of dead leaves and clearing out a tub full of soil. My back is going to hurt later I bet with the bending over and lifting heavy bags of soil.

Now my wheelie bin is full so have to stop

Was also thinking what am I going to do with some of the solar panels. How to get them off the ground and into some kind of frame (on the cheep!)

Just finished lunch before typing this message at 3.34pm.

I think that is it for me today. Time to relax again

This thread wont be as exciting as my last holiday thread HERE. Oh well!

Well I have been looking for a cordless vacuum cleaner in a bit. I have a baby hand held Dyson which I love, but want a cordless upright. Dyson do one with a long pipe and a proper end.

Walked into town today to the big department store and looked to see what they had.

I also saw Bosch do a new cordless upright, and did see that in the shop. Could not really tell the size of it from the web page



Now I did have £200 of Amazon vouchers, do ordered it on line and only paid £49 on top.

Arrives sometime next week.

Oh the excitement of my day..LOL

Now what can I do this afternoon

Well I have just changed the batteries in my burger alarm, as the box outside has been pipping the last week or so every time I arm the system.

I have 2 weeks paid vacation due this year. I'm not sure how to use them yet. The past few years my vacation time has been spent as follows...

2014 - At home with a broken foot...

2013 - Replacing all the plumbing in my house after every pipe froze and burst...

2012 - In ICU after suffering a massive heart-attack...

2011 - Replacing roof and painting my house...

So, I'm just waiting to see what breaks before I take time off again...

Today's task is to take my car in for service. I have to hang around for an hour and a half they said. So I think I will walk around the village and find a nice pub to have lunch in. I will take my tablet with me and maybe take some pics

I wonder how much the service is going to set me back

Just come back from taking the car in for this first service. They even cleaned the car so all sparling red again

Well the Pub I was going to was not open. GRRRR.



So had a walk around the village and found a Barkers that server food.



Had a cheese and ham panini. It was nice. But still had time to kill, so have a YUMMY hot chocolate as well



It was so funny in the place an old lady fell asleep at the table!
