Imagine if companies filmed the same exact scene from two different angles so people with two monitors could watch the same scene from 2 different angles at the same time.


Also I'm really stoned so if this makes no sense then just ignore it.

I think we already have something called "360 degree video".
It may be not the same thing, but the idea is same.

This is something the DVD format supports, and in the early days the expectation for DVDs was that you would have all sorts of interactive features like this. In the end, we just used DVD to distribute plain old videos.

The internet obvioulsy makes all these things possible, but, again, we seem to use the internet to just spread the same old plain videos we used to put on VHS!

No I'm talking about 2 separate video files the same scene filmed at the same time just from two different angles and so I can download them both and have one angle playing on one screen and the other file(other angle) on the other screen playing at the same time.

The technologies we have now could do that. The problem is not a technological one.

It just seems that no studios have the imagination to think differently about video.

There have been promising ideas before, like the RealTouch, Virtual Stroker and Kiiroo systems. They never break out of their tiny niche no matter how good they are. The industry appears to be scared of anything other than the one size fits all format that they are used to. You can, if you have a lot of time to spare, make a new edit of the movie to show on screen 2. But that would take so long that you would have lost your boner hours ago.
Now if someone like Elon Musk, with the technical knowledge and tons of money, wanted to, he could totaly re-invent porn. Few of us have his kind of cash.
