Depends in what context... if Facebook I'd even unfriend my mom... why would I want to be an online friend with my mom when I can just call her, and beside she's my mom For others if I haven't got any contact with them for sooo long I sure unfriend them because I'm not a friend collector... don't need 3000 online friends when those three REAL friends I have suffise me plenty enough.

If your not even close, no. Even if you do, so what? People have un-friended me before and I couldn't give a shit. That person might feel a little salty, but he/she will move on.

I agree. I have less than 300 friends on FB, and I only really talk to about 10% of them. The others are just acquaintances or random people that added me. I've never unfriended anyone. Even if I don't really talk to the person, some of these people post interesting stuff.
