I was watchin a show a while ago, and it was a who is____ thing, like who is the best band? who is the sexiest singer...etc etc..

and someone said Janis Joplin was sexy, and they all bashed him for it...but I think she is THE MOST SEXY SINGER EVER!!! something about her just turns me on!!!

id have to agree Thor. I recall seeing some early concert footage where she just owned the stage, she was definitely powerful and I thought extremely sexy and a total hottie. I remember thinking now thats not how I remember her in "The Rose," at least the sexy and hottie part...lol But in later concert footage she truly was so whacked out she looked awful, poor thing. But at one time, she sure did have it goin on.

The thing is, I was always interested in how music arrived to where it was and all the styles that mixed into the later stuff. To me it's a way of appreciating , even though I don't really like that much popular stuff after around the early 90s.

Sometimes you can hear the influences , or appreciate the influence that made certain singers / bands create the music they do. So many of the good bands and singers will cite a classic older vocalist etc as the reason they do what they do.

The further back you go the simpler music becomes in styles, and you can seperate all the differences before they became more mixed up.

Damn, I should write a thesis lol
