In the Eastern ideas about hell (e.g. Hindu and Buddhist) your not in hell forever, only until you've suffered according to the harmful things you did to other beings. So I guess your lucky day in hell is the day you get out and are reborn as another being in the world of humans or higher animals and have the chance to do some good - or at least not do any harm to others.
Then if you do that OK you might go to heaven next time you die. But even your time in heaven comes to an end because it's an endless cycle of re-births, unless you become enlightened in which case you become an immortal god or enter into a state beyond any possible description.

if you want to get a philosophical, then I want to say no. he'll, as it's commonly known to be, is the headquarters of evil and everything negative. so then such a thing as luck could not exist in a plance where positive things cannot happen. it would conflict with the very "laws" of it's existance. however the removal/liberation/destruction of hell could be seen as "lucky" but I don't believe that to be true either. I think that would just be a victory for the forces of good rather than "luck" (which implies you would go back to normal eventually)

for a second consideration, if "hell" was our existance (here and now) then there is a lucky day in hell. But then again this isn't truly hell as descried above because of the existance of positivity and goodness.

I'm sure that's correct philosophically speaking, partly because one of the conditions of hell is probably that there never is any luck there. However, in practice there might be days when the demons of hell run out of brimstone or forget where they put their torture instruments.
Of course, when we speak of hell in the figurative sense (e.g. "It was hell in the office today,") then luck would apply just as in any other daily situation.

There are many ideas about hell, and yes most are negative, but not all. And in religion and especially in some new-age things hell isn't considered to be that bad place. I know even few things (Don't really know right terms. Saying religions would maybe be wrong. And not sure would occult either be correct:p) were it's considered to be good place, or atleast the name - and its many ancient forms - have been adopted to some other place.

And one idea of hell I really liked. Seemed really mellow;)

If Satan leads us to hell, he will logically reward us when we get there.

Satan was a bad translation from old Hebrew, Satan was in fact a verb meaning to deceive, but through years of bad translation and addition of magical thinking to create the religion we know today... Satan became some sort of a character and lost its meaning
