IN one of Justin Bieber's smash hit song, he sings about his heart being broken.

Now his voice is, too.

The YouTube discovery and Usher protégé packed New York’s Rockefeller Plaza Friday morning for a mini concert broadcast on NBC’s Today Show, but fans expecting to hear the 16-year old sound like his CDs would have been disappointed.

On Baby, he bailed on the high note in every chorus, holding the microphone away from his mouth and letting the backing track run up the vocal register.

The kid just got off a major worldwide media blitz for his "My World 2.0" and on top of that, his voice is changing.

Don't knock him already. Jeez!

For his ego, his lack of talent, his hideously poor songs and just the fact that he looks like a lesbian (never too good on a guy) I couldn't be happier. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end and he'll begin to flicker out at last. Can't wait.

Also, his fans reach higher than even the Twilight fans level of annoyance, so for them to die down for a while (until the next big 'talent' -coughbullshitcough-) comes along would be more than welcome!

this sounds unfortunate. Well maybe he just had a bad day. I am not a fan...but i don't see the need for the hate. I wish him all the best with his endeavors...maybe he might blossom into a wonderful singer..

I've no liking for his music but this is an old story. Back in the 1950s Frankie Lymon aged 13 was one of the big stars (Why Do Fools Fall in Love) , although the record company bosses tried to market him as something he wasn't.

His voice broke and he sounded like all the others so his career plumetted.

I'll bet one thing, nothing Justin Beiber records will ever still be known or sung in 50 years time ;)
