Hi cavonzia,
This is a software limitation within vBulletin itself. This occurs when a megathread reaches a certain number of pages and the link to the last page is somewhat restricted to page 2.
There is a way around this. Don't click on the last page link. Instead, click on the small icon next to the username under the Last Post column. This will direct you automatically to the past post of the last page.

This is a minor bug in the version of the forum software we use. If you get taken to an earlier page, just click on the highest page number and you will then get to the end of the thread. This would normally only happen in the case of very long threads.
You can always reverse the display of the Posts so that the newest page is displayed first - takes a bit of getting used to but I find it more useful.
Go to your "User CP" -> Edit Options -> Thread Display Options and Thread Display Mode and change it to "Linear - Newest First"
