I love chess. I'm not that great but I love to play and constantly learn. I love chess sets. They can beautiful if you buy a quality one. Anyone else play chess? Are you any good? I have a wooden chess set your basic one and I have a glass chess set. This is one I want.

I think its nice and its only 90 for a 21 IN set.

I'm not a chess player at all, but I once saw a beatifully hand-crafted chess set of lacquered ironwood. The fascinating thing was that the set had been made for erotic gaming - the pieces all had sexual motifs carved into them, and the game was played (so I was told) with a view toward sexually "conquering" one's opponent.

I can imagine how that might play out.

I used to play lots of chess, but not so much lately. I used to belong a correspondence chess club - this was before the Internet existed of course so it was all snail mail. It was good for someone who was busy, as I could wait till tomorrow or the next day, if I wished, to send off my next move.

My mother got me a really nice crafted wooden chess table, and I played lots of games with a school friend on that. Don't know what became of that table... hmmmm...

Must be where I got my interest in queens, mating, and porn (pawn).

Used to love chess, played it right from when I was a kid. I've played with computer programs since , but it's been a few years now.

Can always pick it up anytime, and yes, it's very good for exercising the mental capabilities!
