Looking for a program.

I'm looking for a program that will allow me to show what my computer screen see in an instant messaging program instead of say a webcam. Like when you click instead of showing what a webcam shows it show my computer screen.

Well if you only want to show your screen as in "screen sharing" you wight wanna opt for software such as VNC or Teamviewer, they're also free, but they are mostly remote access system... but keyboard can be locked and they can only see without interacting.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but Skype has a very handy "share screen" that you can use during the call. You just have to turn off the cameras before sharing your screen and you have to be visible.
