Mass Effect 3’s Gay Sex Being Mostly Hated in YouTube

You can role-play as a gay man in next week's Mass Effect 3. Why? because the game's creators believe in giving their players a choice of who they want to be.

Gaming site CVG got a copy of the love scene between a male Commander Shepard and a male lover. They posted it to YouTube where... it's being spammed with dislikes. 1,320 dislikes to 292 likes at this count.

We haven't played enough of the game to see the scene ourselves, but it looks legit. Still, what's so bad about it? YouTube users, you're trashing it for the acting, right?

What bothers me about that video is that I don't know which character that other guy is. I can't find him listed as any member of your squad - I thought the romancing options were for members of your squad and not some random guy on a ship.

Well, I didn't really liked the video. And I'm gay.
The romances usually have some romance in them, this video
was lacking in the man-love. I'm probably being picky but
even the sex scene with Tali was more romantic (and you don't see her face)

BUT, since that is some random guy, maybe this is not the final product. Jus a teaser
to let us know there WILL be same sex relationships. Hunky, sexy same sex relationships.

His name is Cortez. He's in the Shuttle room, last floor on the Normandy.

Also, just like in DRAGON AGE, people absolutely hated how you can have gay relationshiops on there. I remember reading what someone posted/sent to EA, saying shit on how it's wrong and so on, but EA (I think) posted a HUGE response to him, saying that if he didn't want to see the gay stuff, don't play through the gay scenerios. Same thing here. If people don't like the gay scenerios, don't pick the lines or whatever to be hit on OR you hit on another guy. Let us, the gamers, decide what we want to do in the game. It's OUR choice and OUR decision. Don't blame the creators of the game. They want US to have the freedom to decide how we play OUR games. (Thought I'd post this too while it was in my head. Lol.)

Oh, and DAAAAMN Shepard is hot. I wonder if someone did some....suggestive pics of him. Eh, might as well ask on here.

He's not a party member but he is your shuttle pilot. His story is actually very well done and he is a much more interesting crew member than James. I think they did a great job with him.

I think its important to keep 2 things in mind:
1) The audience for this game is a bunch of teens who are, lets say it, functionally retarded, who are super insecure and react to this kind of thing like a 3 yr old reacts to girls "yucky!!! make them go away!!! cooties!"
2) the ppl who look this up on YouTube are either the ones like us who find it really cool haha or the ones who have a negative fixation w it. All the ppl who are just ok with it, who play the game as a straight dude and find it amusing that he can be gay dont bother commenting on that kind of video.

The loudest ppl are always the angry ones, the ones who are ok w it dont bother wasting their time over something that its not that big a deal for them.
