Mega posts choking the xx movies section

It is not just on this site - but across all such similar boards

The same posters - who are obviosly earning big bucks - posting mega threads

Fundamentally I am pretty fed up with going into these posts - only to find the contents are the same as another mega thread !!!

This practice has choked the life out of many other forums - but one -gaypornbb - makes posters put these posts in a seperate section and -

Funnily enough it forces these big poster to post individually in the xxxmovies section

After all there are only so many times a viewer a particular item

And now imagine all the megathreads split up in single threads... THAT would choke the clip forum ^^

At least you can quickly go through and open up the ones of interest

The other board is much busier than this and very easy to go through

Just make a subsection in XXX for megathreads.

We can't win The megathreads were allowed partly from many requests for them and partly because of complaints that single posts were pushing the smaller posters' threads down the pages too fast.

Not sure if we really want any more sub-sections but we'll give it a thought

I tend to skip mega threads unless they cover a theme I'm interested in. If they're just a grab bag of titles or have subject like "my hot movies" i rarely look inside. Having to wait for all those box covers and previews to load, makes plowing through a mega thread a slow, difficult process. It's a lot faster to just scan the titles of individual movies in the forum and then click on the one's that I'm interested in.

I totally agree! I like being able to just scan the thread titles and pick what looks good.

I know I can do that but there are some good post inside mega threads and I don't want to skip those but I don't want to sift through the crap.

Honestly guys, we can do what we want, some will ALWAYS complain.
You can't satisfy everyone, so we satisfy most.

I really like the megathreads--it has improved the gay xxx section a lot, and I find them quite convenient. I don't want to have to wade through a million threads to get to all of the Porn King's (hammer's) posts.

But when a mega thread is called "my best twink collection" its so broad and vague it could mean a lot of things.

If you like a particular person's posts it's very simple to do a search for author=YourFavoritePoster

The search function does not replace a mega-thread; you'd still have to click on each post individually to even see the screencaps in a search. There were reposts and vague titles before we had megathreads, too.
